TCS in racecars is also extremely smart. Extreme mid corner steering motion? what do you mean? Like snap-turning the wheel suddenly? That'll kick the rear out as certain speeds, too slow and it wont get enough momentum to spin and too fast and the rear will have so much downforce it'll just understeer And you can absolutely kick the rear out if you set the brake bias towards the rear (by default its way too much towards the front). You can totally mash the brake and even turn a bit while mashing the brake. Well yes, ABS in racecars is extremely smart. rFactor GT cars drive completely different. Are cars set up safely side by default? Hidden new player handicap? (I set all assists off). I may be missing something but this game feels extremely arcadish. I had absolutely no rear grip loss when accelerating from corners, even when suddenly going full throttle while turning. I can take extreme mid-corner steering motion without any danger. It's possible to stay almost full on brakes while going throught the turn apex without the car getting anywhere near unstable (understeer maybe but zero loss of grip) I can recklessly break with much force in the straights and well into the middle of turns. Then I bought ACC today and ran a few laps in Spa. RFactor 2 and Automobilista are my first choice racing simulators but I also thought AC was a different but still a legitimate, true simulator.
